Glint Solar is an Oslo-based startup accelerating the growth of solar energy by making it fast and simple to find the best solar project locations. Glint Solar was founded in 2020 with the mission of accelerating the adoption of solar energy across the globe. We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded CFO to help steer the company through its next phase of growth.

This is a pivotal leadership role in a mission-led B2B SaaS company, scaling internationally and moving toward profitability. You will work closely with the CEO and Board to bring financial clarity, structure, and decision support across the business.

We are seeking a CFO who combines strategic thinking, operational rigor, and business partnership — someone who can build the financial backbone of the company while enabling ambitious growth.

What you will do

You will own the company’s financial strategy and build a finance function that enables scale, performance, and long-term value creation.

Your responsibilities include:

• Lead financial strategy, planning, forecasting, and performance management across the business

• Build strong FP&A and decision-support capabilities, creating financial visibility and budget accountability across all functions

• Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team on strategic planning, capital allocation, and key business decisions

• Manage financial communication with the Board, investors, and external stakeholders and lead fundraising activities together with the CEO.

• Establish robust processes, systems, and controls to ensure high-quality reporting, compliance, and readiness for international growth
  

You will be both a strategic partner and the person who ensures the financial house is always in order.

Who you are

You are an experienced CFO or VP Finance with a strong track record in scaling B2B SaaS businesses.

We believe you bring:

• Experience from growth-stage B2B SaaS companies (Series A and/or B), and with exposure to international expansions

• Strong strategic acumen, with the ability to link financial insight to business decisions, capital allocation, and long-term planning

• Hands-on experience with fundraising, board engagement and investor reporting

• A proven ability to build and scale finance functions, including FP&A, controls, systems, and SaaS financial operations

• A structured and credible leadership style, with experience supporting governance, compliance, and senior stakeholders

• Demonstrated ability to translate financial data into commercial strategy, enabling leaders across the business to make faster, better-informed decisions.

• Deep understanding of SaaS business models, performance metrics, and financial systems infrastructure.

Location:
Preferably the person should be located and work in our office in Oslo, however, for the right candidate, a remote position may be possible as well.
