Both Lars and Fredrik share a passion for what they do, and they emphasize the strong sense of ownership they feel in shaping the product. Lars says, “I really enjoy working on the Glint Solar product because I feel a strong sense of ownership over how it evolves. As a developer, you get to understand user needs quite deeply, and we work closely with the product manager and designer to solve real challenges for our users. It's rewarding to build something that you know others will benefit from.”

Fredrik echoes a similar sentiment, adding that, “I enjoy working on the technical side of solar and battery technology—it’s a fascinating space. It’s rewarding knowing that the work we do has a tangible impact, not just on the product but on the environment as well.”

A typical day for both Lars and Fredrik starts with individual work before syncing up in their daily standups. “That’s a great opportunity to ask for help, sync up with others, or plan some pair programming,” says Lars. “We believe in involving each other early when working on new features, so everyone feels a sense of shared ownership.”

Fredrik highlights that most of his time is spent working on new features, but they focus on keeping their code clean and bug-free, which helps them avoid spending too much time on troubleshooting. “We spend most of our time on features rather than firefighting. We fix bugs as they come up and maintain high code quality,” Fredrik says.

Lars also notes the importance of customer interactions: “A typical day includes a meeting or two—either internal or with a customer. For me, it’s important to regularly speak with users to understand how they use the product and what we can improve.” Both agree that while meetings are essential for staying aligned, they strive to minimize them to preserve deep work time.

Collaboration is key at Glint Solar, and both Lars and Fredrik highlight the close-knit teamwork that’s central to their process. Fredrik shares, “Each team has its own area of expertise, so we collaborate where it makes sense. We work closely with sales, customer success, and design to make sure we’re building something that really fits our users.”

Lars adds, “We’re given responsibility across the whole value chain—from planning features to building and shipping them. It’s fun to be involved in every step of the process and see the impact we’re making.”

They both appreciate the learning opportunities at Glint Solar, especially working with a talented team. “We get to work with a solid modern tech stack and really skilled colleagues, which makes it easy to learn and grow,” Lars says.
